About Me

Born and raised in the Seattle area, I worked for several years in social work before coming to birth doula work. The majority of my work was with low-income clients with chronic medical health issues. I have experience in case management, referral and resource management, short-term counseling, and solution-focused problem solving. I bring these skills to the realm of birth to provide clients with a unique doula style.

Educated at Seattle Central Community College and Western Washington University, I have a BA in Human Services. I attended The Simkin School for Allied Birth Vocations at Seattle Midwifery School, completing my Birth Doula Training there. I was fortunate enough to study with Penny Simkin herself, as well as several other highly talented and experienced professional doula educators.

I also volunteer with Operation Special Delivery, an amazing organization that provides doulas at no cost to pregnant women whose partners have been severely injured or who have lost their lives in combat, or who will be deployed at the time that they are due to give birth. Please consider donating to this great organization.

In my personal life, I have been married to my husband, Akiva, since 2007. We have a beautiful daughter, Audrey. I enjoy photography, baking, reading, and chasing after our two cats.
